MIS Alumni Homecoming Event

Presentation title: "Technology for Securing the Nation's Borders"

Presenter: Dr. Jay Nunamaker

Jay's presentation will be a part of the University's Homecoming 2011 Collegiate and Campus Showcase which celebrates excellence at the University of Arizona. The presentation will be open to all who are interested in this topic.

Learn about new technologies designed to secure borders and facilitate trade, including the avatar-based screening kiosk (a non-invasive, non-intrusive computer agent for determining whether someone is telling the truth), micro Unmanned Air Vehicles, and biometric algorithms.

The artificial intelligence based kiosk, with many new sensors, is a non-invasive and non-intrusive computer agent for determining whether someone is telling the truth. 

The presentation will discuss these latest innovations that are designed to help solve one of the nation’s most difficult problems in border security.

A luncheon for MIS alumni only will follow the presentation.
