Ms. Ursula Conway, CIO, Ameristar Casinos, Inc. (retired)

Ms. Conway joined Ameristar Casinos (ACI) as a Corporate Vice President of IT in 2000 and was later promoted to Chief Information Officer. Ameristar Casinos, Inc. is an innovative, Las Vegas-based gaming entertainment company known for its distinctive, quality conscious hotel casinos, and value orientation. Ursula's immediate focus includes knowledge management and collaboration, systems integration and standardization, and data availability for competitive customer marketing.

Ms Conway has an extensive gaming background including 9.5 years at Mirage Resorts (MRI). Projects included - lights out computing, operations centralization, video teleconferencing through slot machines, and Help Desk strategies. Her positions included user liaison, acting development manager, director and Chief Technology Officer. At various times with the organization, Ms. Conway managed all aspects of the department from development and application support to operations.

Following her graduation from the University of Arizona with a BSBA in MIS, Ms. Conway entered the consulting environment (Arthur Young and Coopers & Lybrand) where she completed CPA certification. Engagements included tax and accounting projects, software implementation, short and long term technology planning and her introduction to gaming in the form of several Las Vegas based technology projects.
