Once you are admitted to the University of Arizona, either as a freshman or as a transfer student, and have declared yourself as a pre-business major, you will be considered part of the Eller College of Management within The University of Arizona. However, you still need to apply for official admission into the College, usually during your sophomore year.
Step Two: Attend Orientation
All freshmen and transfer students will need to attend one of the New Student Orientation Programs. During orientation, an advisor will meet with you to help set up your course of study and answer any of your questions. Advising appointments are not available until you attend an orientation. For information on undergraduate advising please visit the web site for the Eller College of Business and Public Administration (http://ugrad.eller.arizona.edu).
Step Three: Obtain Professional Admission
Once you are a pre-business student, your next step is to obtain Professional Admission. Please see the web site for the Eller College for information on obtaining Professional Admissions. During the process of applying for Professional Admission, you will be advised on how to apply to the MIS, OM, or MIS/OM majors.
Note: Students who have already obtained Professional Admission within the Eller College of Management and wish to apply to the MIS program should contact Sara Hastings at
