Dr. Michael Grieves is the Co-Director of the Product Lifecycle Management Development Consortium (PLM DC) University of Michigan’s College of Engineering. The PLM DC is an international innovative center for guiding the development of PLM and serving as a research and education center. The PLM DC consists of leading industry and academic organizations. He also assists the Center for Professional Development with their Information Technology programs, and organizes and chairs the annual University of Michigan AUTOe IT Conference. Dr. Grieves is also affiliated with the Eller School of Business at the University of Arizona, where he is designated Director. Industry Research for the MIS Department.
Dr. Michael Grieves is the non-executive chairman of Interactive Frontiers, Inc., the leading company in computer-aided motion analysis and Internet-enabled computer aided sports training (CAST) systems. He is also a principal in the international management and IT consulting firm, Core Strategies Inc, and has done over fifty M&A transactions during his career, primarily in the IT industry.
Dr. Grieves was the founder, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Data Systems Network Corporation (DSNC). DSNC is one of the premier independent Network Integrators in the United States, specializing in the design, installation, and management of complex data networks offices nationwide. He is currently a board member of the successor corporation, Dyntek, Inc (NASDAQ:DYTK), where he also assists with merger and acquisition (M&A) activity. Dr. Grieves has over thirty years experience in the computer and data communications industry. He has been a senior executive at both Fortune 1000 companies and entrepreneurial organizations during his career, and he has taught at the university senior undergraduate and graduate school levels.
Dr. Grieves is active at Oakland University as Chairman Emeritus of the School of Business Board of Visitors. He chairs Oakland University.s President.s Technology Advisory Board, which consists of chief technology officers and chief information officers of some of the most influential Michigan-based Fortune 500 corporations and financial institutions. He is past chairman of the Michigan Technology Council.
Dr. Grieves has spoken at numerous computer, engineering, and manufacturing industry seminars and conventions and has written for industry publications, including CIO Magazine. He has chaired a number of industry conferences, including SME.s PLM Forum.
Dr. Grieves has an undergraduate degree in computer engineering (B.S.C.E.) from Michigan State University, a graduate degree in business (M.B.A.) from Oakland University, and a doctorate in executive management (EDM) from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
