Responsibilities:

As a member of our research team you will be responsible for solving tough problems and applying them in real-life situations. You will have an opportunity to investigate and contribute advanced technology projects.  You will apply scientific principles and concepts to critical business problems and develop the software which solves those problems, creating solutions that meet the business needs of the future.

Within a broadly defined management structure, you will investigate and become familiar with the marketing requirements for applications, including user environment, performance criteria, and competitive issues. You may function as an architect or team leader, overseeing product design and development activities.

We are looking for experienced innovative people as well as recent graduating PhD’s in CS or MSCS.  Positions are available in Palo Alto, CA.  Some of the technology areas of interest include:

*Open Source/Open Collaboration
*Sensor Networks
*Digital Communities
*Embedded Systems
*RFID Technologies
*Web2.0/Semantic Web Integration Aspects
*Integration of Network-Enabled Physical Objects
*Business Process Modeling/Composition Infrastructures
*Policy-Oriented Enterprise Management

Requirements:

*Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering or other related fields. B.S. and M.S. with appropriate industry experience will also be considered.
*Proven system level development skills.
*Strong background in Web service technologies, J2EE, networking, and data management required.
*Good programming skills in Java or other object-oriented programming language; experience with C/C++ or ABAP would be valued.
*Business Application background.
*Ideal candidate must have excellent communication and team working skills and would be a strong visionary thinker.
